FBI Probes Whereabouts of California Shooters After Attack - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) The FBI is trying to determine the location of the San Bernardino shooters in the 18 minutes between the December 2nd killings and when they were found by police.

David Bowdich, head of the FBI in Los Angeles said investigators want to know if Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik had contact with anyone or made a stop.

The attack took place around 11 a.m. and lasted about five minutes. Afterward the couple drove through the area and seemed to have no concern for time, driving on freeways equipped with traffic cameras.  Around 11:45 a.m. they stopped at a lake, but but no evidence was found there.

But officials do not know their whereabouts between 12:59 p.m. and 1:17 p.m.  When the two resurfaced, they were discovered by police conducting surveillance near their home.

One law enforcement spokesperson said the couple may have been trying to detonate a pipe bomb in that time, according to the LA Times.
