Gen. Ray Odierno, former Chief of Staff of the Army, is set to take a senior advisory position at JPMorgan Chase & Co., according to a statement released by the company Thursday.
The position, which he’ll assume on Sept 1, will report directly to Chase’s CEO Jamie Dimon and its board of directors, and Odierno will advise on a range of issues—from international planning to cyber security.
Additionally, Odierno, 60, will help structure the firm’s leadership and training programs.
“Ray has dedicated his life to serving our country, rising to the top of the Army with proven leadership that delivers results,” Dimon, said in the statement. His experience will “provide significant value to our leadership team, the firm and our clients across a wide range of issues.”
