Poll Shows High Number of Voters Are Very Concerned About Syrian Refugees Being Relocated in Their State - from TRUNEWS

Most Americans are opposed to Syrian refugees being relocated in their state.

The debate has heated up this week in the aftermath of the Paris attacks, after officials claimed some of the terrorists had posed as refugees as they traveled through Europe. Now a new Rasmussen Report shows 60% of likely U.S. voters oppose the settling of Syrian refugees in the state where they live. Only 28% are in favor of their state taking in the refugees. Another 11% are undecided. The survey polled 1,000 likely voters.

This week more than half of U.S. governors expressed opposition to refugees being moved to their states. A few have agreed to take them. Others want more information before they make a decision.

In September, when President Obama first announced the U.S. would take in 10,000 refugees, 36% of those polled favored the plan, and 50% were opposed.

Now 77% of the voters are concerned about a possible national security risk posed by giving asylum to the Syrians, and 52% are very concerned.
