(TRUNEWS) Two refugees in Germany have been arrested for the sexual assault of two young girls at a public pool this past weekend – one of the several reported assaults at the hands of migrants reported in recent months.
The assailants were of Afghan descent, ages 14 and 34. According to Daily Mail, they violated a 14 and 18-year-old girl near a water slide at the aquatics center in Norderstedt. Pool workers apprehended the men until police arrived at the scene. Both were arrested for attempted rape and are being held without bail.
There were hundreds of mass sexual assaults committed on New Year’s Eve at a train station in Cologne, Germany. The incidents set off a number of protests by German residents who want Chancellor Angela Merkel and her party to stop accepting refugees. More than 1 million asylum seekers were admitted in 2015.
In June 2014, seven young immigrants attacked five girls between the ages of 15 and 17 at the same pool in Norderstedt.
Earlier this year the city of Bornheim, Germany banned refugees from the public pools, after several cases of sexual assault were reported.
In Austria, there was a brutal rape of a young boy in the restroom of a pool. The Iraqi attacker is awaiting trial.
The backlash against Merkel is not only being expressed by Germans but by other European countries who are also battling crime and violence at the hands of refugees. Several nations are blaming Greece for not having enough maritime border controls, but the Greeks insisted they asked the EU for help, but did not get it. The leaders of Finland have said mass migration is a threat to European values.

Thousands of people remain trapped in Greece at the closed Macedonian border. The migrants tried today to tear down the fence.
