Sheriff confirms FBI gag order and Orlando 911 audio censorship - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Monday that their department has been placed under a gag order by the FBI, and their 911 dispatch audio requisitioned for the ongoing investigation into Omar Mateen.

Speaking with Ryan Beaty, an official administrative assistant for St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken J. Mascara, TRUNEWS correspondent Edward Szall was told that Sheriff Mascara was barred from speaking to the public about Omar Mateen and the ongoing investigation into to the June 12th Orlando Massacre.

The apartment of alleged shooter behind the Orlando Massacre is located in St. Lucie County, FL.

By phone, Mr. Beaty also confirmed that the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s 911 dispatch audio had been seized by the FBI, and was not currently available to the public — even through FOIA request.

On the Thursday June 16th edition of TRUNEWS co-hosts Doc Burkhart and Edward Szall reported that all 911 dispatch audio between the hours of 12:00 AM and 03:00 AM EST for all South-Eastern US police, fire, and rescue departments was missing on Broadcastify, the world’s largest source of public safety, aircraft, rail, and marine radio live audio streams.

During an interview Sunday, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch told NBC’s Chuck Todd that on Monday the FBI would release an edited transcript of the 911 calls made by Omar Mateen during his rampage.

Highlighted transcript of that interview:

LORETTA LYNCH: What we’re announcing tomorrow is that the FBI is releasing a partial transcript of the killer’s calls with law enforcement, from inside the club. These are the calls with the Orlando PD negotiating team, who he was, where he was… that will be coming out tomorrow and I’ll be headed to Orlando on Tuesday.

CHUCK TODD: Including the hostage negotiation part of this?

LYNCH: Yes, it will be primarily a partial transcript of his calls with the hostage negotiators.

TODD: You say partial, what’s being left out?

LYNCH: What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda.

TODD: We’re not going to hear him talk about those things?

LYNCH: We will hear him talk about some of those things, but we are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance and that. It will not be audio, it will be a printed transcript. But it will begin to capture the back and forth between him and the negotiators, we’re trying to get as much information about this investigation out as possible. As you know, because the killer is dead, we have a bit more leeway there and we will be producing that information tomorrow.

When contacted by TRUNEWS regarding the time of the transcript release, both the Fort Pierce and Miami FBI offices told Edward Szall they had been given no information nor guidance on the matter.

TRUNEWS will provide an update once the 911 audio transcript have been published by the FBI.
