Democrats are urging House leaders to take a time out on the Planned Parenthood investigation.
The abortion group is claiming the shootings at a Colorado Springs clinic last week are related to the probe.
A letter signed by six Democrats, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi claim women will not get proper health care if the investigation continues. They are calling for Congress to stop the “witch hunt”.
Several congressional committees are looking into whether Planned Parenthood sold aborted baby body parts to researchers after undercover videos showed officials negotiating sales.
But Hose Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has said the investigation will continue. He and House Speaker Paul Ryan blamed the recent shootings on mental illness.
