The time has come to begin consultations on integration of the European Union with the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), said the speaker of the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament.
The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) is an economic bloc comprising Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. Kyrgyzstan is set to be formally accepted as a member next month.
“Our country has repeatedly talked about the possibility of future integration of two regional associations — the EEU and the European Union. Has the time come for such plans and forecasts?…”
