NATO warns of nuclear radiological or biological attack by ISIS - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) The NATO security chief is warning that ISIS is trying to get their hands on nuclear, radiological and biological material, in order to carry out attacks in Europe, and especially Britain.

“We know terrorists are trying to acquire these substances,” said NATO’s Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Dr. Jamie Shea, according to The Telegraph.

During the Security and Counter Terror Conference in London, experts agreed there is a ‘justified concern’ that ISIS is also developing a new way to avoid being detected. They are working on plans to hack cars to self-drive or to plant bombs inside the bodies of jihadists.

They may also have short range missiles stolen from Iraq.

“We know terrorists are trying to acquire these substances,” said NATO’s Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges Dr. Jamie Shea.

The situation is likely to get worse.

“Any gap in our response represents an opportunity for criminals and terrorists to purchase, smuggle or deploy the materials needed for a weapon of mass destruction. This is why our response must be global, and leverage global networks– a strictly local or regional approach presents security gaps we cannot afford,” said INTERPOL Secretary General Jurgen Stock.

Britain stepping up its counter-terror efforts

Law enforcement officials in the UK have released details of a plan to train a million workers to deal with terror attacks. The National Police Chiefs Council will teach them to respond to incidents.

“We need everyone to play a part in keeping the public alert, not alarmed, said Detective Chief Superintendent Scott Wilson, according to BBC.

Even if Britain leaves the European Union, they still plan to make security a top concern by sharing intelligence with other countries.

Another area of concern is Britain’s nuclear arsenal. In February, RT reported a Royal Navy whistleblower speaking out about the ease of penetrating nuclear facilities.
