Robert Wittman: General Patton found Alfred Rosenberg’s diary - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) Retired FBI Art Crime investigator Robert Wittman says Alfred Rosenberg’s private diary was originally found by General George S. Patton.

Wittman’s statement was made during an interview with Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS on Friday, while speaking about his new book, which sheds light on the newly uncovered private diary of Adolf Hitler’s chief philosopher.

In “The Devil’s Diary: Alfred Rosenberg and the Stolen Secrets of the Third Reich”, Wittman recounts the harrowing journey he undertook in locating the lost memoirs of Alfred Rosenberg.

Wittman said during the interview that Rosenberg was the “chief ideologue of the Nazi party before it was the Nazi party,” and is considered to be one of Hitlers oldest allies. His book, “The Myth of the 20th century”, sold a million copies inside Nazi Germany, and was only second to the Hitler’s “Mein Kampf”.

In the 425 page — hand written — old tectonic German tome, Wittman said Rosenberg had outlined three main goals, all of which were later largely adopted by the Nazi party:

  • Battle against the jews in Europe to prevent a Bolshevik style revolution
  • Destroy Christianity
  • Steal and centralize the art and culture of Europe for a Nazi museum

Rosenberg also chastised fellow Nazi inner circle men like Joseph Goebbels and Hermann Göring, as “light weights” and “spin doctors of propaganda.” Documentation of personal victories against Christians and “anti-Nazi” propagandists were included in the tomes dark bindings.

After the Third Reich fell, the diary was discovered by soldiers under the command of General George S. Patton, who  served as the military governor of Bavaria before his untimely death. Witten said Rosenberg’s private works were pulled out from a vault — five stories under ground — beneath a castle in Bavaria, along with a plethora of confidential Nazi documentation.

The diary — and almost thirty tons of Nazi documentation — were collected following the wars end, by a G-2 military intelligence unit specially commissioned by General Patton himself. As the governor of Bavaria, Patton spearheaded an initiative to create a detailed historical record of the war, which greatly facilitated the convictions of former nazi’s during the Nuremberg trials.

Following Rosenberg’s conviction and execution in those trials, Wittman said Robert Max Wasilii Kempner  — an American lawyer who served as assistant U.S. Chief counsel during the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg — illegally retained the private diary, and shipped it and “thousands of square feet of documents” back to his home in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania.

This is where Wittman discovered Rosenberg’s diary years later and was able to reveal its contents to the world through his new book “The Devil’s Diary: Alfred Rosenberg and the Stolen Secrets of the Third Reich”.

Previously on TRUNEWS, Rick Wiles had interviewed Robert K. Wilcox, the author of “Target: Patton: The Plot to Assassinate General George S. Patton”. In the interview Wilcox said General Patton was assassinated for the information he uncovered during and after the war.
