(TRUNEWS) Dutch officials have a plan to take refugees arriving in Greece and put them on a Turkey-bound ferry, starting this spring.
It comes as the crisis reaches a peak, and European Union officials accuse Greece of not documenting the migrants before they head into Europe, as reported by TRUNEWS.
The leader of the Labour Party, Diederik Samsom told Reuters the only way the idea will appeal to Turkish officials is if countries in Europe agree to take in about 250 thousand refugees from Turkey, as part of an exchange.

He has discussed it with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte. Currently the Netherlands holds the EU’s rotating presidency, and they are putting pressure on other countries in the bloc to agree to the move.
The EU members would not have to take in the migrants, but would have to chip in with the costs, under the agreement. Sansom has said quotas do not work, but he does believe at least 10 countries will allow the asylum seekers to come in, according to Netherland Times.
Taking Syrian refugees to Turkey could help it gain status as a “safe country”. Sansom claimed the deal will stop the migrants from coming into Europe illegally on unsafe boats, and will lower the number of people entering Europe.
