LTC Haney: ‘ISIS training Pilots in Libya’ - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) Retired U.S. Air Force LTC Dennis Haney said that ISIS is training pilots at airfields in Northern Libya.

LTC Haney’s statements were made during an interview with Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS  on Wednesday, during a roundtable discussion on the events surrounding the Benghazi embassy attacks which left 4 Americans dead, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens.

During the interview Haney inferred that the new development was both disturbing and ironic, judging by the fact that Muammar Gaddafi’s forces were killing Al-Qaeda before NATO overthrow his government, and now ‘free from his oppression’ the country his succumb to the terrorist group.

Haney also said that Gaddafi made an attempt to abdicate his position shortly after the NATO bombing campaign began. Haney said Gaddafi sent an envoy to General Ham, who was the head of AFRICOM at the time, who approved the proposal and forwarded the request to the State Department, where it was ultimately declined.

Haney also confirmed that guns were being run through the embassy in Benghazi to covertly arm the Muslim Brotherhood and local militias. And when asked by Rick Wiles if the CIA was involved in the operation, he answered yes, saying they became involved to begin collecting up as many of the 20,000 Man-Portable Air-Defense (MPAD) Systems which flooded the country upon Gaddafi’s overthrow.

He assisted the Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) Program Manager in managing 185 technical personnel in positions including Assistant Program Manager for the CEC Program. After retiring, he joined Special Operations Speaks (SOS) as the Operations Coordinator.
