During an interview with Fox News’ Megyn Kelly, a former double agent for the CIA stated that he believed a domestic terror attack against the U.S. could be imminent.
“I believe that within the next two weeks, we will have an attack,” Morten Storm said on November 17th’s episode of ‘The Kelly File’. Morten went on to say that due to the fact that U.S. citizens are much better armed than those in Europe, the terrorists will likely attack “softer targets”, such as civilians in “shopping malls,”.
Storm is the author of ‘Agent Storm: My Life Inside al Qaeda and the CIA’, which details his transition from being a former radical Muslim fundamentalist, to the self-attributed CIA double agent responsible for the intelligence which led to the death of Anwar al-Awlaki.
President Barack Obama commented at the time that, “The death of Awlaki is a major blow to Al Qaeda’s most active operational affiliate,” as well as noting that he was “the leader of external operations for Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula”.
