Parents of 9th graders at a school in Salem, Utah have expressed outrage at a homework assignment assigned to students, asking them to draw a propaganda poster for a terrorist organization.
The assignment was retracted, but many of the students had already completed it.
One student typed “how to recruit for ISIS” into Google to get information, which her mother thought was inappropriate, especially after recent terror attacks.
According to KTSU-TV, the school officials talked to the teacher, but she remains on the job.
A worksheet was given with the assignment that claimed the goal of the poster was to help students understand the methods terror groups use to gain support.
