(TRUNEWS) – International streamcast ‘TRUNEWS with Rick Wiles’ will be originating programs all this week from the site of the NRB Convention. This is in association with the launch of the new online mobile app PRAZOR, a Christian media platform featuring 48 channels of music, plus on demand audio and video content from ministry partners.

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), the world’s preeminent association of Christian media and ministry organizations and professionals, announced its 2016 annual event will be called Proclaim 16. It also announced that the Platinum Sponsor of Proclaim 16 is the Museum of the Bible, a 430,000-square foot international museum currently under construction in Washington, DC, dedicated to the impact, history, and narrative of the Bible.
The convention name Proclaim emerged naturally from a strengthened mission focused on advancing biblical truth, promoting media excellence, and defending free speech. It also distinguishes the association from the convention, which is just one of the activities with which NRB is involved.
“We have chosen an identity that reflects our evangelistic, media, and cultural engagement in line with the three-fold mission of NRB,” explained NRB President & CEO Dr. Jerry A. Johnson. “And with Proclaim, we are solidifying our commitment to help extend and protect the reach of Christian communicators.”
Adding to that, Dr. Johnson noted, “NRB, to many, is the premier Christian media event. But NRB is more than that. We speak and act on behalf of Christian media and ministry organizations on Capitol Hill. We help our members gain exposure, pursue excellence, and develop partnerships. The annual convention is one part of our mission strategy.”
Biblically based on Psalm 105:1 and intentionally broad, “Proclaim” was selected last year as the theme for the most recent convention, which drew around 4,300 attendees.
Every year, the NRB International Christian Media Convention draws a wide range of participants, including radio and TV station owners and operators, pastors, church media professionals, radio and TV program producers, college educators, students, film producers, Web and mobile developers, social media managers, marketing representatives, and ministry staff members. The event features cutting edge media experts, inspiring ministry leaders, and key influencers in society. It provides networking and business opportunities. The Convention also helps organizations gain exposure.
A highlight of the annual gathering is the bustling Exposition, the world’s largest marketplace dedicated to Christian media professionals seeking to harness the power of electronic media to spread the Gospel. Showcasing their products and services each year are around 200 companies, ministries, and organizations, including broadcasters, nonprofits, educational institutions, publishers, media agencies, and broadcast equipment and software companies. And next year, admission to the Expo floor will be free.
Also part of the 2016 Convention, which will be held February 23-26, 2016, in Nashville, TN, will be a number of industry and field-specific summits, including Digital Media (pre-convention event on February 22), Radio, TV, Church Media, International, Film & Entertainment, and Donor Development. In addition, the Convention will feature a Presidential Candidate Forum and a Pastor’s Track.
