(TRUNEWS) Amid the recent attacks on Christians by Muslim jihadists, and terror groups like ISIS, President Obama wants to bring more refugees to the U.S.
During his weekly radio address Saturday, Obama chastised Americans for being fearful and promised to eradicate the group he calls ISIL, which many claim is an insult to Israel.
“That’s why we have to reject any attempt to stigmatize Muslim-Americans and their enormous contributions to our country and our way of life”.
Last year, a group of Muslims tried to contribute to “our way of life” by bringing Sharia law to a court in Irving, Texas. The move was sharply nixed by the city’s mayor, Beth Van Duyne.
Obama chastised the GOP presidential candidates, during the address, for their ideas on stopping Brussels-like attacks from occurring in the U.S. Donald Trump called for a halt to Muslim immigrants until “we figure this thing out”, referring to FBI Director James Comey’s testimony last fall before Congress, where he claimed asylum seekers could not be properly vetted, as reported by TRUNEWS.

Texas Senator Ted Cruz wants an increased police presence to secure Muslim neighborhoods.
“It plays right into the hands of terrorists who want to turn us against one another,” Obama said in response to the comments made by Trump and Cruz.
The president restated his plan to bring in 100,000 people from Syria and Iraq this year.
