Glenn Beck rebuked by Texas pastor: “Wacko comment speaks for itself” - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) Robert Jeffress, the head pastor of First Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas has rebuked mormon radio host Glenn Beck for his recent comments that Christians are not listening to their God when they vote for Donald Trump.

“Utah has an incredible opportunity. So many Christians have been standing up. But all throughout the South the Evangelicals are not listening to their God. Let us raise a standard in Utah,” Beck said during a speech last weekend in Utah, while chastising bible believers who weren’t voting for his endorsed candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz.

“Beck’s wacko comment speaks for itself,” Pastor Jeffress said to Breitbart Wednesday. “However, by using the phrase ‘their God’ to refer to the God we evangelical Christians worship, Beck is finally admitting that the true God of the Bible is different than the god of the Book of Mormon. I congratulate Beck for his honesty in differentiating between the two,” Jeffress added.

His comments echoed what TRUNEWS host Rick Wiles reported Tuesday, that Glenn Beck has finally made it clear for all his viewers, that he is a Book of Mormon thumping lunatic. Beck confirmed Saturday that he converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 2000.

Other than noting that Beck doesn’t speak for evangelical Christians and praising him for finally being honest about his faith, Jeffress said, “however, I am somewhat puzzled that Beck claims to know how the God Christians worship would vote in the Republican primaries.”

Pastor Jeffress, who leads a 12,000-member ministry and joined Trump on the campaign trail in January, said to the Christian Post at the time that “I am not officially endorsing any candidate but I was happy to pray at Mr. Trump’s events on Saturday in Iowa and also to introduce him. And frankly I would not have done that if did not believe that Mr. Trump could be a very effective President of the United States.”

The GOP Presidential candidate race has caused a split among many evangelical christians across America. Barna Group, the leading polling agency for evangelical Christians, published data which indicates that that committed evangelicals are more supportive of Cruz and cultural evangelicals are more supportive of Trump. A Tennessee focus group hosted by Breitbart in late February confirmed their conclusion.

Rick Wiles of TRUNEWS has affirmed that the only resolution for America’s troubles are turning back to God, and repenting for the sins of our nation. The solution is spiritual, not political, and the body Christ must not be distracted by petty arguments around who may or may not be the “most godly” candidate.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord” – Acts 3:19, KJV
