Ken ‘Clinton Chronicles’ Starr still Baylor president, for now - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) Baylor University has publicly denied reports that Kenneth Starr has been fired as President of the world’s largest Baptist college.

Chip Brown of Scout’s HornsDigest.com reported Tuesday at 3:59 AM that sources close to Baylor’s board of regents had told him that Ken Starr was being removed as president. His sources told him that Starr had come to a meeting with the board “lawyered up” and that they had offered him a leadership position in Baylor’s law school.

Geoff Ketchum of Orangebloods.com and the host radio show ‘Hit’em’ on YahooSportsRadio.com tweeted at 09:20 AM that multiple sources had confirmed Ken Starr’s removal to him.

Nikki Laurenzo of Local TV broadcaster KCEN reported at 10:52 AM on Tuesday that Starr had been fired, citing sources close to the Board of Regents. These sources were all cited later by major outlets such as Reuters and the Washington Post as a potential fact, though Baylor officials had not yet responded.

In an email response to an inquiry by AP, Baylor University spokeswoman Lori Fugleman said, “Ken Starr is president and chancellor of Baylor University.”  She was asked if the board of regents had voted to fire Starr.

In their official response Tuesday afternoon, Baylor University spokeswoman Tonya Lewis said:

“The Baylor Board of Regents continues its work to review the findings of the Pepper Hamilton investigation, and we anticipate further communication will come after the Board completes its deliberations. We will not respond to rumors, speculation or reports based on unnamed sources. But when official news is available, the University will provide it. We expect an announcement by June 3.”

CLINTON CHRONICLES

Before he became the 14th President of Baylor University in 2010, Ken Starr served as the former Whitewater independent counsel charged with investigating Bill Clinton’s sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky.

In an interesting coincidence, Ken Starr was the centerpiece of a recent article in the New York Times, where he praised Bill Clinton saying the former president was “the most gifted politician of the baby boomer generation.” Speaking during a panel discussion on the presidency at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Starr said “there are certain tragic dimensions which we all lament,”and “that having been said, the idea of this redemptive process afterwards, we have certainly seen that powerfully.”

Starr ended by saying: “His genuine empathy for human beings is absolutely clear. It is powerful, it is palpable and the folks of Arkansas really understood that about him — that he genuinely cared. The ‘I feel your pain’ is absolutely genuine.”

VINCE FOSTER CONNECTION

Though sources are claiming the dismissal may be related to the ongoing sexual assault case at Baylor University, with Donald Trump bringing the Vince Foster story back to the headlines, the Baptist Board of Regents may have concluded that their association with the former chief investigator may bring unfavorable attention to the University, especially as detail arise of the numerous holes in Starr’s investigation and the rising plausibility that Bill and Hillary Clinton may have had their former confidant killed.

On the May 13 edition of TRUNEWS, host Rick Wiles interviewed Allan J. Favish, an LA attorney who has tirelessly attempted to bring attention to the numerous inconsistencies surrounding Foster’s death. During the interview Favish detailed evidence — classified by the US Supreme Court — which indicates that Foster has a previously undisclosed neck wound, a detail which would seriously undermine the official suicide story fed to the public at the time of  Starr’s Whitewater investigation.
