(TRUNEWS) Shrouded in mystery, Turkish exile, Fethullah Gülen, is described by his followers as a voice of peace and reformation for the Islamic faith. Others however say Gülen is the leader of one of the largest Islamic sleeper cell networks in the world.
Today the Associated Press ran a story describing Fethullah Gülen as a prayer leader and staunch advocate of democracy, education, science and interfaith dialogue. They touted this as the reason behind the foundation and STEM focus of the 1000’s of schools in more than 100 different countries he unofficially guides in old age from his gated 26-acre compound in the Pocono Mountains, Pennslyvania.
For those not familiar with Fethullah Gülen, the Pew Research Center for Religion & Public Life describes him as a Turkish Islamic scholar, author and speaker as well as the founder and inspiration behind the Gülen movement, a cluster of religious, educational and social organizations which strive to give faithful Muslims the secular education they need to thrive in the modern world.
The Center for Security Policy however painted Fethullah Gülen in a vastly different light in their latest addition to the Civilization Jihad Reader Series, “The Gulen Movement: Turkey’s Islamic Supremacist Cult and its Contributions to the Civilization Jihad”, in which the Turkish expatriate is accused of operating a stealthy, seditious effort to destroy America from within.
The term “civilization jihad” refers to a strategy where a radical islamic movement progressively subverts a non-muslim culture, by using a nations societal institutions to legalize academic indoctrination of their youth.
Gülen himself spoke of this strategy in a secret speech to an inner circle of followers prior to his exile from Turkey.
“You must move in the arteries of the system without anyone noticing your existence until you reach all the power centers. Until the conditions are ripe, they [the followers] must continue like this. If they do something prematurely, the world will crush our heads, and Muslims will suffer everywhere. The time is not yet right. You must wait for the time when you are complete and conditions are ripe, until we can shoulder the entire world and carry it. You must wait until you have gotten all the state power, until you have brought to your side all the power of the constitutional institutions in Turkey. Now, I have expressed my feelings and thoughts to you all—in confidence, trusting your loyalty and secrecy. I know that when you leave here, [just] as you discard your empty juice boxes, you must discard the thoughts and the feelings that I expressed here.”
Though the statement was in regard to Turkey, Its by no far stretch that Gülen has been accused of orchestrating a parallel revolution inside the United States.
With his businesses worldwide valued at roughly $25 billion, and his network of followers stretching deep into domestic academia and politics, Gülen will be a man to watch as the influence of global Islamic extremism continues to spread, and the vatican led one world religion initiative grows in popularity globally.
