North Korea becoming more aggressive, experts fear invasion - from TRUNEWS

(TRUNEWS) As North Korea prepares for the first Workers’ Party Congress in over 30 years, many experts are fearful of the actions of leader Kim Jong-un.

A former White House adviser is speaking out about his belief North Korea has an attack planned and has put up a replica of the “Blue House” presidential palace for troop training.

Victor Cha, in his book “The Impossible State” claims special forces would invade first, targeting power stations and airports in order to cripple citizens lives and prevent them from escaping, according to the Daily Star.

He also predicted the shelling of Seoul at a rate of about 500,000 per hour.

Afterward, about 700,000 North Korean troops and 2,000 tanks would enter the country and release chemical weapons and diseases.

While Cha predicted South Korea would eventually win the war, with help from allies including the U.S., he believes it would take several months and cost billions of dollars and countless lives.

South Korea is also concerned about a fifth nuclear test.

“There is a possibility that the North would conduct an additional nuclear test and fire off a (mid- or long-range) missile in a blitzkrieg manner around the party congress,” a spokesperson for the South Korean foreign ministry, Moon Sang-gyun, told the South Korean newswire service Yonhap.

In Pyongyang, the dictator is also strong-arming the North Korean citizens by limiting travel and banning big events such as weddings and funerals.  Mobile phones and media access have been limited.

The Independent referred to a report in the Daily NK about the new rules, as well as an increase in property searches and inspections.

Defectors are being treated even more harshly, sentenced to hard labor camps even without a trial.
