Two United States missionaries, 53-year-old Harold Nichols and 48-year-old Randy Hentzel were found murdered in the Albion Mountain region in Jamaica. The two are believed to have been murdered on Saturday (April 30), local news reported.
“It seems that things are getting out of hand in the parish but we are resolute and we are determined to ensure that this one is resolved. So again we are appealing to the residents to assist us with whatever information that they may have,” a local official noted
The United States Embassy in Kingston has asked the police to find the killers as they send American investigators to partner up and assist with solving this case and bringing the killer or killers ot justice.
Autopsies have reportedly been concluded by the government forensic pathologist and the results show that Mr. Henzel died of a gunshot wound while Mr. Nichols’ body had a gunshot and chop wounds, a police update said.
The missionaries have reportedly been living in Saint Mary for years. According to reports, they built homes for the underprivileged locals and assist with visiting foreign medical teams who come to treat locals several times a year.
Jamaica Murders – Possible ISIS Connection?
ISIS is recruiting more jihadists from the Caribbean. The government of Trinidad and Tobago has reported 89 nationals, including children have joined the terror group in the past three years.
The information came out as experts gathered to discuss new laws to block the fighters from returning to the island nation. Currently there is no law to stop them.
A propaganda video released by the jihadist group shows a man identified as Abu Zayad al-Muhajir claiming he left his homeland to join ISIS with his three sons, who are now studying English and Islam at an ISIS-run school in Syria, according to Daily Express.
