As Hillary Clinton continues to deny that anything of a classified nature ever crossed her private email server, now a report that a member of her staff at the State Department sent an email containing classified information about the Congo government to a Clinton Foundation staff member in 2012.
In a print copy of an email obtained by the Washington Free Beacon, Clinton chief of staff Cheryl Mills contacted Amitabh Desai, the Clinton Foundation’s director of foreign policy. A segment that has been redacted due to the fact that it contained “foreign government information,” and deemed “confidential” and “classified” by the State Department. The existence of the message could bring more troubles to the Democratic Presidential front-runner, already under the microscope over a number of questionable practices and decisions made during her time as Secretary of State.
While what was redacted by the State Department is not clear, the e-mail was discussing Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
There’s no word from the Clinton camp on whether Desai, a non-government employee who’s been with the foundation since 2007 – would have had clearance to view ‘confidential’ emails.
