In Australia, ending the life of your unborn child is a phone call and credit card number away.
A group calling itself the “Tabbot Foundation”…named to mock former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott…is running a service using a toll free phone line where women can call to arrange ultrasounds, blood tests and have the abortion drug RU486 delivered to their door.
The Foundation claims they have inundated with calls from women wanting their services and it has overwhelmed them to the point they have sought outside partners.
“Medical pregnancy termination through teleconference is one of the most appropriate medical conditions you can use this for because you don’t have to examine the patient,” a Tabbot spokesman told the Sydney Morning Herald. “It will also mean women who might have felt intimidated going into an abortion clinic don’t have to.”
The organization’s massive growth comes as pro-abortion activists launched a smear campaign to keep prominent American pro-life advocate Troy Newman from being able to enter the country. Newman was scheduled to speak to Australian pro-life groups about using legal means to close abortion clinics.
(Note: Newman was able to board a plane to Australia early Wednesday afternoon after initially being stopped in Denver; there is no confirmation yet immigration will let him enter the country.)
