Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Gao Zhisheng Confirms Prison Torture - from TRUNEWS

Chinese rights lawyer and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Gao Zhisheng has told the Associated Press that he was tortured during his latest detention by the Chinese government.

Gao had been imprisoned in 2010 and then held until August 2014 when he was released on “house arrest.”  Gao could barely speak or walk at the time he was released from the Chinese prison.  Now, Gao is telling the AP about his time in captivity and the abuse poured upon him by Chinese officials.

Gao, a Christian, told the AP that he’s staying in China to stand for human rights because it was “the mission God gave me.”  Gao’s family lives in California.

The interview comes as Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrives in Washington for high level meetings with President Obama.  Gao has written that since Bill Clinton came to power, “the American political class has disregarded the basic humanitarian principles and muddied itself by getting so close to the sinister Communist Party.”

Gao has a book, yet to be published, where he claims God told him the Communist Party would lose its rule over China in 2017.
