A strong message from President Obama to Christians, namely that their efforts to assert their religious liberties aren’t nearly as important as the rights of homosexuals. Speaking at an LGTB fundraiser in New York on Sunday, the President showing his pride at the progress made on gay rights issues under his time in the White House, saying “we affirm that we cherish our religious freedom and are profoundly respectful of religious traditions, but we also have to say clearly that our religious freedom doesn’t grant us the freedom to deny our fellow Americans their constitutional rights.” The Democratic National Committee fundraiser was labeled as a “LGBT Gala” held in New York City to coincide with Obama’s trip to the UN General Assembly.
