A rare event is set for Tuesday that some end times watchers will be looking at closely.
The astrological event, known as a blood moon will occur around 7 p.m. ET on September 27 in the U.S. and end a just after midnight on September 28. Although blood moon occurs a few times a year in various parts of the world, a tetrad is rare.
A blood moon occurs when the earth casts its shadow on a full moon, causing a red glow.
This one is different for several reasons. It is the fourth blood moon in a tetrad and it will fall on the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. The first three instances of the tetrad already occurred on April 15, 2014, which was on Passover, October 8, 2014, on Sukkot, and April 4 of this year on Passover.
The last tetrad occurred in 1967 and 1968, when Israel recaptured Jerusalem.
According to many popular evangelicals, including Pastor John Hagee, the blood moons are linked to times of tragedy and success for the Jewish people.
In an interview with Christian Broadcasting Network, Hagee said, “There’s a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way.”
Some Christians believe the final blood moon in the tetrad could bring natural disasters and other calamities.
