The head of Planned Parenthood admitted under oath before a Congressional committee that their claims federal funding supports mammograms from the organization was a lie.
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards admitted her organization doesn’t even own mammogram machines.

“There aren’t any Planned Parenthood clinics, I believe, to the best of my knowledge, not any have mammogram machines at their facilities,” Richards responded after a question from Rep. Cynthia Lummis of Wisconsin. “We have different kinds of arrangements with, depending on the state, to refer women for mammograms.”
Richards tried to avoid her organization’s multiple claims in the press that funding to their organization helps women obtain mammograms by telling Rep. Mia Love of Utah that her group “never stated” they had mammogram machines.
Richards also admitted that if Congress defunded Planned Parenthood it would have no impact at all on the services provided by the organization. She also confirmed that 86% of the group’s non-government revenue comes from performing abortions.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz of Utah provided evidence that Planned Parenthood averages around $14,000 a day on travel expenses and that Ms. Richards made $590,000 as head of the organization in 2013 based on tax returns.
