The NYPD is prepping for its biggest security job ever — a threefold detail to protect the Pope, the President and a slew of other world leaders.
John Miller, deputy commissioner of intelligence and counterterrorism for the New York Police Department, said Pope Francis’ upcoming trip means the force will also have to protect the global chiefs he draws to town.
“This is the single largest and most complicated security undertaking in the history of the NYPD,” Miller said on “Today” Monday.
President Obama is expected to stop by the city during the Pope’s visit, while the U.N. General Assembly meets with 170 world leaders, he said.
